HP Steel Cylinders
Steel cylinders are strong and reliable vessels that will last a lifetime and in certain circumstances have the option to be used for a ten-year service life. Our steel cylinders are made using 4130X chrome moly steel noted for its extreme strength and can be used in a variety of industrial, commercial, and personal applications. All of our steel cylinders are either TC and DOT approved or UN/ISO approved.

Note: In Canada, steel 3AA cylinders that are only DOT approved can be filled 10% in addition to the marked service pressure when it is used in the proper gas service and has a plus (+) marking following the date of manufacture or the most recent test date. Therefore, a cylinder that does not have the ‘+’ marking can only be filled to the marked service pressure. However, steel 3AAM cylinders that are TC approved have the 10% overfill built into the service pressure marked on the cylinder in BAR. A ‘K’ stamped following the service pressure in BAR on a 3AAM cylinder would indicate to the filler that the cylinder shall be filled to 90% of the marked service pressure, making it equivalent to a 3AA that does not have a ‘+’ stamp. When a cylinder is dually approved and has both TC and DOT markings the TC markings shall have precedence.
UN/ISO cylinders do not have an overfill option and shall be filled to the service pressure marked on the cylinder shoulder.
